In my psychology class we have talked a lot about the effect media has on people’s image of beauty. Our society has created such a harrowing image of what it takes to be beautiful. So many girls suffer from eat disorders and are slowly killing themselves. The thing that motivated me to post this on tumblr, however, is all the disturbing blogs about being reprehensibly skinny. You girls need to realize your bones do not need to stick out and you shouldn’t give a fuck if you have a big ass. Beauty is everywhere and in everyone and if you can’t see and believe that you need a reality check. Trust me, being an 18 year old girl I know how tough it is to put up with all the pressure society and people put on you, but it’s not bad enough to starve yourself or stick your finger down your own throat. Beauty is something that starts on the inside and grows from there.

Stop believe what you see on tv and in magazines, you are beautiful, each and every person in this world is beautiful.

People need to realize that there are all different shapes and sizes out there and ALL of them are beautiful.
